The Salomon Lotus gives you a lot for the money and as a directional twin, the tip and tail shape are identical except the tail is stiffer than the nose. A Twin shape with a little set back from centre is great because they are easier to turn and allow you to learn just about anywhere on the mountain and that will help beginner riders to improve faster. The other thing to notice, is the flat camber shape, which makes mot catching an edge the best thing about learning. The Base is extruded petex which is easy to repair. Salomon is known for giving you more for your money and this is a great choice for those who don't want to rent or want to get out of the beginner realm.
